The 18th October saw our first School Council event of the year as the children took on the role of adults in school. Some year 6 children worked in the office, answering phones and filing whilst others took on the role of Headteacher and completed a learning walk around the school. Pupil interviews were conducted by our young Deputy Heads and some children were caretakers for the morning. The assembly was delivered by some Year 6 children on the theme of Black History month, focusing on the life of Mary Seacole.
In the afternoon, children from Year 5 and 6 delivered lessons to children in the other year groups. They had planned them carefully and delivered them expertly.
Overall the day was a great success.
