This week, both Year 4 classes visited Baylab at Green Park,where they took part in a ‘Food Detectives’ workshop to support their recent learning in science. The children investigated how a banana sandwich is digested – following its passage through the mouth, oesophagus, stomach and intestines. They also carried out a number of chemical tests on various food groups and learned what a healthy, balanced diet looks like. A lot of fun was had by all and many found the results of some of the food tests very surprising. Have a look at some of the photographs below.
