Following on from their group stage win, our Year 5 and 6 girls team played in the Indoor 5-a-side Finals on Wednesday night. Here, the 5 best schools from West Berkshire played each other and the standard of football was extremely high.
We won our first game to St Nics School 1-0 before losing our only match against John Rankin 0-1. The team then went on to win their remaining two matches 1-0 against local schools Springfield and Downsway.
When the scores were all added up, both Birch Copse and St. Nicolas school finished on 9 points. St Nicolas' superior goal difference meant they finished top with Birch Copse finishing second overall - a great achievement.
